New to Melia, but have gold via Platinum and an initial 2,000 points welcome bonus.
That 2,000 points seems to get me £70 off a potential reservation in Rome.
However, I also seem to be able to buy points at €5 for 1,000 points, so it costs €10 for a £70 discount? In theory I could get therefore get the entire £1,400 stay for £200?!
What am I missing here?
