It’s worth trying but it sounds like you needed someone better informed initially! They should have booked the outbound for you with half the voucher (if using as a 241), then applied the other half when you booked the inbound. You’ve really been messed around with these bookings!

I had something similar when I booked MCO-MAN for 3 of us, agent used the voucher as a 241 when it would have been much better value to upgrade 2 of us instead. I was too inexperienced to realise at the time but it resulted in me wasting half that voucher!
