Tbh that was the wrong way to start anyway a Nectar card is the best way in then the person has options of Platinum and BAPP when they are more confident and it earns the most Avios per £ for low fee.
Worth considering when you recommend any other friends.
Agree – it took me a while to get onto the fee paying cards and those were the days when pro rata refund was a sure thing. With the looming changes @hugog I would be very careful on what you recommend to your friends if you are not a daily HFP reader (and your friends will not read the T&Cs carefully themselves) as changes are not pre-warned and can happen any time.
