That’s a significant spend which would earn you 7k MR points on the Platinum card. You don’t whether you collect avios or other airline points, but for something like that I’d personally be leaning towards applying for the BAPP/ avios Barclaycard/Virgin MC to get a good deal of the way towards one of the vouchers and possibly a SUB.
I don’t fly on Emirates so not sure how points generally work with them!
Of course you’d need the time for the application process, which might not fit in with your travel plans.
Otherwise, what’s more useful to you – MR points or cash back?
I think you might get more out of the Platinum travel insurance for booking with the card, if that matters.
