It’s important to note that TCP (To Complete Party) only “links” a booking by adding in a manual note into it and that’s it.

The bookings remain separate and your travel companion doesn’t get the Gold baggage allowance or lounge guesting rights for example.

Seat selection then becomes a manual process. You can’t just start seat hopping around the cabin.

TCP and seat selection is only a Gold benefit.

In IRROPS the rebooking bots see these as two separate bookings (because that’s what they are) and will make determinations on rerouting on that basis.
