@sm – there can be no certainty and while this far out the seats quite likely would return to inventory, it depends on a lot of unknowns. However, you can just ask BA to split the booking, keep your own booking intact and then just cancel your daughter’s seat. The agent ought then be able to reprice your itinerary and apply the voucher as 50% off if that’s what you want to do.
