If you want to be right in the centre this perhaps won’t work, and I should add I haven’t actually stayed yet… but we are also over there as a family of four later this year and I booked Melia La Defense. Because of Melia Gold, which is probably quite common to have here, a connecting room was the same price as small family rooms elsewhere. Metro directly outside, into the centre in 10 minutes.

+1 for Melia La Defense.

Stayed there a couple of times, most recently in Feb, and is my go-to choice of hotel in Paris. Located right next to a metro stop on Line 1, which goes direct to many Parisian landmarks. Brilliant view from rooms, especially on higher floors facing the Eiffel Tower.

Price is reasonable especially if you have Melia Gold (eg through Amex Plat) which gives 20% off.

I believe it has its own car park as well, but I’ve never used it.

Also, if you’re planning to drive quite a bit around France, you might want to consider a toll tag. I’ve got mine through Bip&Go recently and it’s a lot more convenient going through tolls and in some car parks.
