This email was sent to me as a BA Executive Club member. It’s about British Airways American Express® Credit Card
This particular offer and link is only open to BA Executive Club members. It says “terms apply”
Is this a good deal?

Exclusive offer available for British Airways Executive Club Members only. You must apply via the link below. Applications made through other channels may receive a lower offer.
Apply now (Sorry – I tried to copy and paste this link from my email to this HfP board but it doesn’t work from HfP board. You’ll need to sign up with BA Executive Club if you want to get it)
For the free card, yes, this is a good offer (standard SUB is 5k avios IIRC). However, you’re then stuck with a low earning rate, and if you earn the companion voucher, it can only be used for an economy flight and is only valid for 12 months.
Have a read of Rob’s excellent articles on the pros and cons of all the various Amexes before making a decision, as holding one card can preclude you from getting others.
I have this offer as well, I am a supplementary card holder on my OH BAPP, but from reading the forum I think I should still be eligible for this offer. The 12,000 Avios is attractive and hitting 1000 in 3 months will be a lot easier than hitting £3000 at the same time as working on his £3000 spend.
EVEN BETTER: I just logged into my British Airways account and was offered BA American Express Premium Plus with 50,000 Avios Welcome Bonus if I spend £3k in first 90 days. That’s a great alternative to the standard BA American Express card, after reading Rob’s reviews of the Amex cards since I get double the usual Welcome Bonus. It’s time-limited like the 12,000 Welcome Bonus above.
I got this double points offer as a member of Executive Club. The BA site says this bonus is not available through any other link.
As Rob’s review says this card costs £250 per annum. It’s value because – allowing for £250 annual card fee – I pay just 1/2p per point for the bonus Avios if I hit the £3k 90 day spend. Plus this card gives 1.5 Avios per £1 spent which is more than most others.
