Forums Payment cards American Express £150 Dining Credit at these Indian restaurants – thoughts?

  • trader363 114 posts

Looking to go to one of these indian restaurants on the dining collection list to use the £150 credit.

We have a 4 year old in our group – Any advice on which of these may be more child friendly? We’ll likely do a Saturday Lunch (or early dinner).

    1. Amaya
    2. Bibi
    3. Brigadiers
    4. Gymkhana

    Thanks

Well I’ve been number 3 and the food was great but it was quite a dark atmosphere didn’t really lend itself to being for lunch or kids IMHO but I’m sure they’d be very welcome.

Hear great things about 2 and the big open windows let a lot more light through so good for lunch I’d think.

I’ve been to 1, 3 and 4. Amaya was a very long time ago and not memorable. Both Brigadiers and Gymkhana were good, Gymkhana was better overall. I’ve had tasting and the lunch/early evening menu at gymkhana. Looks like it’s lunch only now, but if that’s available it would make the £150 credit go much further.

I went to Amaya and Gymkhana a couple of weeks back, and I’ve been Brigadiers a couple of years back. Gymkhana was better over the other two imo.

I’ve been to all four, and have taken my daughter to Gymkhana when she wasn’t much older than 4, and they catered for her really well (making a super-mild dish for her, giving her colour pencils/paper etc) , so would recommend. On a food front, Gymkhana rates above all the others for me (albeit I’ve only experienced the Vegetarian dishes). Bibi is very overrated IMO!

Another uptick from me for the Gymkhana set lunch!

Looks like I’ll be spending this years £150 at gymkhana then!
