With a business trip to the US falling through I now need 155TP by 08 OCT to retain status. I am fully aware of the 160TP runs but I have work travel/restrictions which mean I am only able to fly Fri-Sun/Mon early AM (return) and would like to get this done on the cheap, which current searches are showing me in the region of £550+ excluding hotels for a 1-night trip.
If I were to do something like DUB-LHR-EDI or some other combination of domestic/regional routing like that in CE would I earn 40TP per segment so could earn the points that way?
Not looking for a holiday this will be a pure last minute TP run. DUB positioning due to work / otherwise needs to be LHR/LGW/LCY.
Open to other suggestions / shares or any tips.
Thanks
Is £550 not on the cheap?
Edi to LHR economy flights are over £100 each way at the moment.
If you found a 160TP run at £550, grab it!
BA low fare finder, find the cheapest destination from London, add on DUB to LON and LON to DUB. That’s 4 X 40TP
Compare to the price of an 80TP route return, cheapest is usually SOF. Take the cheaper one.
Could potentially do a B2B, especially if it’s SOF, and end up with no extra hotel costs
Low Fare Finder is a good tool, but often the cheapest flights are very early or late and necessitate overnight stays. Domestic flights are silly prices at the moment, presumably partly because the schedules have been slashed. SOF may well be cheaper!
I need 180 tier points by jan and I have no way of getting them.
Cheap fares are only 5 tp each way.
Don’t forget to check the BACF Southampton shorter flights.
On Fridays an aircraft operates EDI-SOU and then SOU-EDI on Sunday.
On Fridays another aircraft operates an evening LCY-DUB, night stops then operates DUB-SOU on Saturday morning, then on Sunday operates SOU-DUB.

Search for cheapest business class fares..

I agree, SOF is likely to be the best option, especially at this short notice. I’ve booked two nested B2Bs at SOF for TP later this year and it’s the best value for TP I could find without needing to add costs of hotel stays
