Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club 241 on 2 x one way flights

Hi all, hope you can clarify. I’ve been reading the threads and want to travel MAD – EZE on Iberia and GRU – GLA on BA and can see availability booking 2 one ways. Am I able to call BA CS and add the inbound booking to my 241 voucher? The miles and taxes are different on both sectors, so would the avios be refunded?
    Thanks in advance.

If you call to add the return, BA would just charge you the 241 avios pricing so there would be no need for a refund.

But if you want to benefit from lower taxes from GRU, you need to book it as 2 x one-way, request half the avios back for the return sector and hope BA don’t insist on re-pricing. You’ll retain 2 separate PNRs.

This doesn’t answer the OP’s question? They’ve indicated they want MAD-EZE on IB then GRU-LHR-GLA on BA.

It’s pretty clear from my response that they can do this!

The question isn’t 100% clear though.

    What’s your opinion on it, @CJD 😜

Thanks for the info NorthernLass, would it be normal practice for BA to re-price this?

Depends on the agent, may need to HUACA a few times

To the extent that you say you can already see the availability for the two individual journeys, you may not be able to reclaim the 50% as that is only supposed to be a concession for trips booked at T-355 when the return wasn’t yet available for booking. If it’s say, ten months away, the whole thing should be booked as one and repriced.

I blame tiredness, I completely missed the 2-4-1 part.
