241 voucher – booking tips help ? No outbound available but inbound is

Looking to book a avios ba flight in sept.
The outbound from LHR is not available yet. But return flight is available back to LHR. Instead of waiting for the LHR outbound flight to pop up and running the risk of losing the return flight too can I do anything smartly to get around this issue?
Is their a tip (keep in mind I am using my 241 voucher) that I can secure the inbound some how and when the outbound one come available (hopefully) I can book that too under the 241.
Is there any tricks to this?

There are threads on the BA board about booking trips in reverse like this.
IIRC it’s not possible to book the return leg (which UK – XXX would be) before the date of the inbound to LHR.
