BA has just made me set up 2 Factor Authentication. When I logged in again didn’t ask for it, never mind.
However my question they sent me an email asking for mobile number. We all have our mobile numbers stored in account, surely this should be the default for 2FA , not a new number. as anyone who has your email account could set up a wrong phone number .
Not the best idea, to let you input a new phone with only security of email address.
In my experience so far, BA.com only asks for 2FA when transferring avios to QR
I don’t have a problem with this. QR asking for 2FA on every login and timing out after 5 minutes is annoying
It should also ask if you login from a new device. But good luck changing it once setup (you can’t).
Maybe the new website will have more modern authentication. Perhaps even passkeys.

Thank you that’s good to know
