Hi, glitch or not, I don’t know.
My anniversary date for my BA free Amex, is 04
November.I have claimed the companion voucher accidentally early this year and have already used the companion voucher for a flight next year. Since i’ve claimed the companion voucher already at £12k, I moved my spendings away from this card.
Today (1st november), as we all know, Amex is increasing the companion voucher spending to £15k. Today, i’ve seen a new companion voucher spending tracking bar to reach £15k, (current spending £13.5k)
Go for it. And let us know what happens. You might just luck out…
You won’t luck out. Everyone’s tracker now says £15k
It’s the same as when you downgrade to the free card your tracker says spend £x up to £20k get a voucher. You never get the voucher.
Similar tracker appeared for me last year when I downgraded from BAPP to the free one after spending 10k and getting the 241 voucher in my BA account. The tracker was for 12k as that’s the spend target for the free one. So I spaced out my spending and after using the 241 voucher, I resumed spending on this card to hit 12k hoping for another voucher.
Nothing happened after I hit 12k. So I contacted support. They said it is just 1 voucher per year and that it has already been issued and that I need to try after the Anniversary.
Folkes, probably a silly question but should there be an email or some confirmation rhst my 241 has been awarded, I hit the 10k spend mid October but I don’t seem to have any indication it’s been awarded?
@MTM Yes you should receive an email from BA telling you that you have received a voucher. I got an email last Wednesday 30 October.
But regardless of that you can check in your BAEC account. It should be in there if you’ve received it.

I’m also still waiting on mine that I hit towards the end of October. Nothing on BA’s website or anything. I really hope this isn’t a glitch and the system thinking I’ve still got to hit £15K now that it’s been updated. There’s a BA companion voucher or something on the Avios transaction list, though.
I asked Amex and they said it can take up to 15 days to receive it, and that BA will send an email within a week or so after the voucher has arrived on my account.
My tracker now contains an extremely wordy block of text explaining that there’s been an error in implementing the new tracker for customers who had already triggered the voucher and reiterates you can only earn 1 voucher in a 12 month period.
