4pm late checkout guarantee quietly removed?

Worryingly I can now see the 4pm late checkout described with the mention ‘based on availability’ in the app.
I am pretty sure the description in the app said ‘guaranteed’ previously.
Haven’t had a chance to browse the latest T&Cs yet

I think it has always said that and the clarifying footnote relates to convention and resort hotels. Which are a very small number, and frankly best avoided. The newish Marriott Dubai Palm Jumeirah has designated itself a resort and denies lounge access and late check out amongst other things. Best avoided; quite the chest puffing exercise to think a hotel on crowded West Beach could ever be thought of as a resort.

Rob I scoff at this suggestion. To me a resort would have space to breathe in its own grounds. That Marriott is plonked closely alongside other hotels either side and has a single pool. I’d accept Hilton calling the Waldorf on the Palm a resort despite its generally small footprint. Less so Marriott doing it here.
