-
Hi I’m 5 nights away for this year but don’t have any time to stay, is there any hotels people know of that you can book with points and not stay and be credited the nights? Lots of 5k per night hotels in Turkey but unsure how it would work. I’ve heard people can contact the hotel and explain they just want the nights credited? Any contacts? Thanks.

Is your Diamond status mot extended to 31/03/2023 as below announcement from Hilton?
As people continue to navigate the changing dynamics of travel and getting back on the road, Hilton remains optimistic and committed to providing flexibility to its more than 118 million Hilton Honors members worldwide. Again leading the hospitality industry, Hilton Honors announced that its members can expect to retain their Points and elite status for an extended period of time and earn status more easily in 2022.
Hilton Honors, the guest loyalty program of Hilton’s world-class portfolio of 18 brands, has implemented the following global benefit changes to help members maintain or achieve elite status, even as travel remains limited in some parts of the world. The changes announced today include:
****Extending status through March 31, 2023, so members can maintain their status perks and benefits longer***
Pausing Points expiration until Dec. 31, 2022, so members have more time to use their Points towards free nights at more than 6,600 Hilton hotels, exclusive Hilton Honors Experiences, live events, charitable donations and more.
Relaxing 2022 qualifications around earning Status, Milestone Bonuses, and Status Gifting from 2019 requirements to make these benefits easier to achieve. In 2022, Hilton Honors members will earn the following:
Status Tier Requirements
Silver status at seven nights, three stays or 17,500 Base Points.
Gold status at 28 nights, 14 stays or 52,500 Base Points.
Diamond status at 42 nights, 21 stays or 84,000 Base Points.
Milestone Bonuses
10,000 Bonus Points at 30 nights.
10,000 Bonus Points for every 10 additional nights (after 30 nights).
One-time 30,000 Bonus Points at 60 nights.
Elite Status Gifting
One-time gift of Gold status for a friend or family member at 40 nights, which can be upgraded to Diamond status at 70 nights.
Extending Rollover Nights for members of every status level, so all completed 2021 nights automatically roll over and count toward 2022 tier qualifications. My understanding is that it will be extended until 2024 should you hit the required nights in 2021. This topic come up previously and it was suggested that it was to reward those who still managed to hit Diamond during 2021 were not unduly penalised as such.
If you have stayed 60 nights in 2021 (not including any rolled over from 2020) then these might will be rolled over to 2022 thus ensuring Diamond Status through to March 2024.
Sorry I don’t think I was very clear, I am currently gold, but as hilton reduced diamond status nights needed I am only 5 nights away.
Sure thing. There used to be a list on the old HFP Hilton Threads of the lowest redemptions in the UK, but perhaps some of Mods may be able to help. You also have Five nights for the points for Four, so I hope it works out for you.
All nights earned in 2021 will be rolled over to 2022 and count towards reduced threshold in 2022. In addition, the status is extended for everyone to March 2023. So the more you stay this year, the less you have to have stay next year to earn the status to March 2024. Also there is a milestone bonus at 30 nights, so you might put that into the calculation.
Update:
I didn’t want the nights to roll over as next years diamond nights req are 42 and I would have rolled over 25.
I booked 5 nights in the Higueron Curio Collection Malaga. Decided to book using points it was 36,000 a night for 2 people or 72,000 for 2 adults and 2 children so ran the risk and booked for only 2 adults, turned up expecting to either have to book another room with points or upgrade using cash, to my suprise they upgraded me, “I already upgraded you but now I can see you will need something a little bigger” so upgraded to a duplex suite. Anyway i would rate at a good 4 star hotel rather than a 5.
