Has anyone received their Avios for this? It may have been targeted but I suspect it was broadly marketed to Uber customers. I had to undertake 2 Uber journeys in the last two weeks of July which I did by booking two train tickets. The T&Cs listed these and all other forms of travel that can be booked in the Uber app. The 500 bonus Avios were supposed to land within 30 days but this deadline has now passed.
Not the same offer, but the August equivalent was supposed to be 500 avios for two airport Uber Reserve trips, with points landing within 24/28 hours. Nothing here either. Have opened case last week and been told that they’re on it
Tbh I’m a bit frustrated by this promo and linkage. I get notifications and emails advising me that my BAEC account isn’t linked to Uber, however when I check Uber indeed they are linked.
I have taken a couple of Ubers recently though and no sign of Avios.
Could I ask how they post to the Avios statement? Specifically “uber” or similar? Thank you.
The standard points for trips post as Uber and usually with a a couple days but they are on awarded for trips taken in the UK.
Thanks @TGLoyalty! We took one last night so will keep eyes peeled. I had mistakenly thought that trips abroad would credit (d’oh) but still don’t get why I receive the missing-linkage emails. Let’s wait and see!

Yes that was for two pre-booked taxi rides. They can be rather expensive so I’d certainly chase those up. The fact that you’ve also not received the expected bonus suggests there’s a general problem here, or it’s dependent on being applied manually. Or they do nothing and just wait for people to chase and apply the bonus on a case-by-case basis which is probably much cheaper. Most people will forget and do nothing.
I’ve also opened a case with Uber. 500 Avios for two train tickets was a good offer and those 500 can be boosted by 1500 with Avios Boost so I’m determined to follow this up.
After initially experiencing problems the standard Avios for rides and train bookings now posts promptly after the journey is completed.
Same issue…the 500 bonus points have not posted as yet. I too have a case opened with Uber. Previously, bonus points from their various promos have all posted ok.
Uber have replied, they want screenshots of the original e-mail and full details of the train bookings, including costs. They were cheap tickets but I’m not sure why that’s relevant as there was no minimum spend.
I haven’t had the 500 bonus Avios either, how do you open a case with Uber?
I only have the original email not the ticket purchase confirmations any more. It will be on my Amex statement I suppose.
@Kirkhill34 I wrote to the them in the app using the Help icon in the account section. You can select Avios as the subject matter of the message.
Thanks @Londonsteve, I’ve done that now and had a response already. They’ve escalated it and I should have the Avios points within 5 days 🙂
If only Uber train journeys could actually find the best value tickets. I’ve used the trainline quite a few times in the last month because they found tickets that were literally half the price of what Uber came up with.
That’s interesting. I usually use National Rail to see available tickets then seek to track down the same ticket in Uber, so far I haven’t come across certain tickets not being available to book on their platform.
Same for me moments ago, reaching Uber support via the app
Hi Leonidas,
Sorry to hear you are having difficulty with collecting your Avios points.
I have escalated this concern to the relevant team who will look into this further.
You should receive your Avios points within 5 days.
Thanks for understanding.
Uber finally sorted out the issue and the points posted to my account today. They also gave me a £5 credit for the delay.
