“April saw the launch of our refreshed loyalty programme, The British Airways Club. We changed how you earn and progress through the tiers, to give you more opportunities to unlock rewards.

As a valued member of the Club with a British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card, we’re awarding you 500 extra tier points to say thank you for your continued loyalty. You don’t need to do anything, these points will appear in your account this month.

This is just one of the ways we’re awarding your loyalty. Thank you for choosing us – we’re excited to give you more reasons to do so.”

    Ooh, feel the loyalty…

Feeling slightly less valued than ExpatinBerlin, who reports on the daily chat thread that…

“On top of that, you can now earn up to 2,500 tier points when spending on your British Airways American Express® Premium Plus Card until 1 February 2026. Be sure to register by 25 January 2026. Terms apply.

There’ll be further opportunity to earn tier points using your Card starting in April 2026; helping you to unlock more benefits in your next tier point collection year.”

Perhaps I’ve been specially selected to not earn on the BAAX spend?
