Gave wrong Avios membership number at Amex BAPP sign up

The membership number belong to my dad. Will the points be transferred? If not, what is their contact detail to get it change?

They probably won’t be transferred if the details don’t match – you might be able to get the number amended via chat, or call the number on the back of the card.

Has to be a first and last name match so, no, won’t work.

@Vegashk – just wondering/curious – is it a father/son situation where you both share the same name, hence the mix-up?

I guess if that was the case, then the match could/would work @Rob?

And if that is the case (if not for OP, then someone else), then how is that situation rectified?
