Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club A flight that I’m booked on doesn’t show in search

  • 28 posts

I booked 4 reward flights for May half term, LHR > KGS for 24/5, a few weeks ago received an email saying these had changed to LGW > KGS.

I’m trying to book my mother a seat on the same flight, however when I search BA, whether for reward or cash, the only option is LHR > KGS with a stop in Athens.

Any experience of this? Are they likely to list it for sale?

@Oli – this is because BA2748 LGW-KGS on that day is fully booked or at least it currently shows zero seats in all booking classes, although this is sometimes how a flight shows pending imminent cancellation but that state wouldn’t last more than a couple of days.

Thank you @JDB – is there somewhere I can see this for myself so I can keep an eye on it for her?

I was just about to say the same as @JDB. If they’ve cancelled the LHR flight and moved everyone over it’s not surprising that it’s full.

    Thanks both.

Forgot to say that given the circumstances, if anything does come up it’s likely to be very last minute and very expensive. It’s already an A321 so there are no options to swap it for a larger aircraft.

Prices are crazy that week. I’m going to Spain with my great-nieces at the end of May – they have a 2 week half term and it was so much cheaper to go away in the second week when most schools have returned. Airlines charging up to £1000 pp in economy for Med destinations!

The other place to look is on the BA timetable page. It will always show there whether sold out or not.

Thank you. I agree re pricing. It’s bonkers, cheapest return flight is over £1k with TUI!
