A trip next autumn to Oz

I am practicing on the Qatar & BA websites ahead of this October so that I am well versed in their modus operandi so that I can try & secure 2 business class flights for October 2025.
A quick question. Ideally we would like to stop over in Singapore on the way. Can I book all the way through to SYD assuming I can get 2 flights & then if I’m able to get 2 flights from SIN to SYD several days later, cancel the original SIN to SYD element? All using Avios & a companion voucher & then combine on one booking?

I’ve had a long day already so sorry if I’ve read this wrong, but you know you can’t use the companion voucher on QR? So you couldn’t combine a booking that had BA and QR flights on it.

Also be aware that they don’t release award seats at the same time.

Ah apologies, the QR & BA practice is just getting used to various sites to look at all options.
The specific question above relates to BA.

No. You’re booking London to SYD, so would have to cancel the whole lot.

You’d have to book to Singapore and then add on Singapore – Sydney a few days later.
