Hi can anyone recommend any Marriott hotels in Abu Dhabi
Interested in going to AUH in Jan for a few nights , I’m a titanium member so would be good to utilise benefits
Can anyone recommend any good properties out there in particular hotels on the beach
Le meridien seems to have good reviews for beach etc , also the st Regis however that is mega expensive
Is the water warm to swim in also
Help appreciated
The St Regis on the Corniche is very good and has a beach club across the road with proper sea views. I’ve never stayed on the one on Sadayaat Island but the beach location is very well rated, so perhaps I’ll change that soon and stay for a couple nights.
The Edition is a nice property and if all the construction around it has calmed down is in a nice spot to have an even stroll but no beach.
I didn’t think the Le Meridian had a proper sandy beach but it does have a nice outdoor pool but your view is basically a mall and high rises. The property is/was quite dated but is being refurbished so depending on when you stay it could be a great deal.
The only Abu Dhabi property I’d actively avoid is the Ritz Carlton Grand Canal I think it’s consistently inconsistent with the guest experience.
Hello thanks for advise … looking at jan 2025 to visit .ive seen the reviews of the beach at sadayaat island , suggests it’s one of the nicest beaches however the price is expensive . I’ll have to check out le meridien again as I thought it was on the beach, le Royal meridien looks like it isn’t but thought le meridien is
Have u been in jan ? What’s the water temp like
Le Meridian does have a beach but it’s not the biggest or nicest one. Abu Dhabi is a collection of islands and I’d class that stretch of water more like your typical river than the sea. It’s wedged between a couple bridges and across from a large mall.
But that has its positives as you’re not in your typical secluded resort but in easy driving walking distance to lots of places.
I’ve been to Dubai in Jan but not AD I thought the water was cool but not cold. Temps are mid 20’s so the sea isn’t warm. But tbh I found most of the pools cold as they aren’t heated so the sea was better in that regard.
