Forums Other Destination advice Abu Dhabi Yas Island – theme park tickets

  • 75 posts

Hi all, I am looking at booking a Yas Island hotel for April 25 to get access to the Theme Park Tickets, however can I just check how they work – can I book one night and gain access to Ferrari World at say 11am on checkin day and access to a second theme park on day 2/checkout day? So that 1 night stay would net me 2 days worth of tickets?

I am looking at the W Stay & Play package – I am Marriot Gold so I should get early check in hence the reference to 11am on checkin day above.

In case helpful more generally, I list some hotels with 1 night minimum stays and USD100 credit in Abu Dhabi that I have been looking at (when booked with a Luxury travel agent – I have been using Debonair who is extremely responsive and helpful…) . Given the size of the city and proximity between a number of these hotels I intend to hotel hop between them to subsidise the cost of the trip. My wife has reluctantly agreed to my crazy plan so long as a few days the USD100 is spent towards spa treatments! The W has no USD 100 credit hence my desire to minimise time spent there.

    • Hilton Conrad – No minimum stay requirements. You will get complimentary breakfast, USD100 credit, room upgrade subject to availability and double Hilton Honors points.
    • Shangri La – They have a 2-night minimum stay requirement to receive complimentary breakfast, USD100 hotel and room upgrade.
    • St Regis Abu Dhabi City – No minimum stay requirements. You will get complimentary breakfast, USD100 credit, room upgrade subject to availability.
    • Park Hyatt, Saadiyat Island – No minimum stay requirements. You will get complimentary breakfast, USD100 credit, room upgrade subject to availability within 24 hours of booking.
    • Grand Hyatt. – You will get complimentary breakfast, USD100 credit, room upgrade subject to availability within 24 hours of booking.
    • Fairmont – No minimum stay requirements. You will get complimentary breakfast, USD100 credit, room upgrade subject to availability.

Hi, I’ve just come back from a stay at The WB Curio on Yas Island.

We stayed there from 21st to 27th August (checking out around 8am for 10.25 flight), and upon check-in, we were given a print out with a QR code for each guest (3 of us), and it said it was valid from 21st to the 27th, so technically, we could have gone to a theme park on the last day, if we had a later flight.

Not sure if it is the same for Marriott.

From memory, I had the same at the Curio, but can’t remember if it was emailed to me or a print out. Not that I used it but I think it was code for a single entry during the period of my stay.

Most AUH hotels are used to people checking in at different hours, and are very easily contactable.

I assume that the 11am is because you’ll be coming off the BA plane ? I’d email asking about the codes and see what they say to emailing the codes in advance so you can just drive to the hotel drop the bags with the bellhops and then drive off to the theme park, coming back later to check in (I can see them saying that you’d need to prepay ?).

Thank you both, that’s really helpful. I had called the directly but they struggled to understand the question. In that case I may just opt for Hilton for a simpler life, 1 night and 2 days worth of theme park passes is a very good deal tbh. Will try phoning Hilton to see if they can confirm.

I’ll be flying a return ticket with Gulf from Bahrain as I’ll be doing Eid in bahrain with family and then back for the F1 (and then BA home from there). The AUH BA flight on the way back is a bit silly compared with Bahrains 1am departure, which gets into London by 7 and I’m at work by 10am!

    Thanks again

I don’t think it was a two day pass though, only one park access per night stayed

You can email reservations.thewbabudhabi@hilton.com and ask for the concierge to provide full details, sorry I can’t find the Concierge card / Whatsapp

In my case, I booked for 6 nights, and could have had park access on 7 days. So, I would contact the concierge and double check that you can access a park the day you check in, and also the day you check out.

The WhatsApp number for the WB hotel is +1 708-630-8795

I’ve reached out to a few of the Yas Island hotels, it seems you are given a ticket to theme park which can be used on either the day of checkin or check out so the validity period covers 2 days but it is for one entry. I will be need to book 2 nights on Yas Island to get to both Ferrari World and WB park – thanks for the help, was worth a shot!
