Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Adding outbound and inbound UK domestic feeder legs to 241 Avios booking

I’ve just been able to get 2x CW LHR-MIA and then MIA-LHR with a 241 AMEX voucher.

As we live up near Manchester we would prefer to fly from MAN, making the entire trip MAN-LHR-MIA and then MIA-LHR-MAN. It was over Christmas and New Year so the likelihood of getting both on the dates we needed were slim. If we’d originally booked from MAN but we could only get a return via Iberia then we would have had to book separate tickets back from LHR-MAN or make our way somehow to MAN to pick up the car, etc..

As we definitely now have the long haul legs in the bag, the question is whether we can add the domestic feeder legs from MAN-LHR and LHR-MAN for both the outbound and inbound flights to the existing Avios 241 booking.

Everything I can see relates to adding just the inbound (which I’ve successfully done before), but I’ve not seen anything about adding both inbound and outbound domestic feeders.

I seem to remember a BA CS agent saying it can be done, but I’m just wondering if anyone has had experience of this before.

    TIA

Of course it can done, assuming availability exists.

You’ll have to phone to make the amendments.

Your return could be MIA-MAD-MAN on Iberia, for future reference. There’s a daily service on Iberia Express between MAN and MAD (though it wouldn’t be a added on free, of course).

We recently added our shuttle up to Manchester to CV booking from Sydney which as already stated takes a phone call to do. We got charged an extra £17.50 in taxes although NL tells us that should have not been the case.

Did the agent say they were charging taxes, specifically? There shouldn’t be any avios or taxes charged(strictly speaking, Reward Flight Saver Fee), but I’m wondering if they charged you the £35 change fee? This could also have been a mistake, but sometimes if they consider you haven’t made an amendment soon enough they will insist on applying the change fee.
