Hi
I have a BA companion voucher through AMEX BA Premium card. I was looking at tickets from UK to India in club world for 2 adults + 2 infants and get the total cost as £1300 + voucher + 170450 avios.
Is this a good deal? I am trying to understand if vouchers are actually valuable. To compare,if I were to purchase the tickets using cash, they cost more approx. 6K and looking that I only have to pay £1300 plus avios seems like a steal.
I am not sure if I give away so many avios as it took me a long time to get these, how do i evaluate if i am getting a good deal? or is it the case since i am using the voucher, its good.
We generally use 1p per Avios as ‘decent value’.
On this basis, if you are getting more than £1300 + £1700 = £3000 of value from your booking vs cash then it’s a good deal in our book. You will also have flexible tickets whilst I assume the £6k figure is for non-refundable ones.
