Hi… I’ve booked flights with Aer Lingus using my companion voucher. I’ve got Silver status but can’t seem to do seat selection on either the BA or Aer Lingus app when “managing my booking”. Has anyone else managed to get seat selection on a similar flight? Thanks
I think you may have to call them. There are various threads on here about Aer Lingus bookings.
For what’s it’s worth, I asked this a few weeks ago and was recommended to call them. Due to the strikes Aer Lingus couldn’t connect me through to a human. Last resort was crossing fingers and checking in 24hrs ahead. Luckily did get two business seats together in row 2 (only available pair left). Alls I would say if you can’t get through is make sure you check in as quickly as possible.
Yes, like it was mentioned above you have to call to reserve a seat with an Aer Lingus reward booking.
If you need to speak to somebody and you are not travelling imminently, just make sure that when you call them you select the option about having a flight in your booking cancelled.
That will put you through to a person, who will not be fussed about the nature of your call.
