The EI lounge in T2 will close for at least 10 weeks for a refurb. Expected to begin early July. The poor food provision will be addressed with the ambition for a more premium offering. That wouldn’t be hard to achieve considering the current soup and room temperature (English) cheese in individual shrink wrap portions.
I sincerely hope the lurid green shag carpet goes.
No, this was straight from the horse’s mouth at the lounge
EI will be sending their elites to the PP (10th June-31st Aug)
That won’t be too pretty, because Singapore Airlines is also using Plaza at the moment. Very little chance of walk-up Priority Pass getting in.
At peak times the EI Lounge could have 50-60 visitors not sure how all these can be accommodated in PP unless there is going to be a restriction to top tier elites. EI are very generous when it comes to lounge access with silvers (lowest level tier) having access and Plat and Conc can bring a guest.
Looking forward to seeing what EI’s version of a more “premium catering option” will look like come September
