Forums Frequent flyer programs Other frequent flyer schemes Aer Lingus regional flight – oneworld lounge access

    Hi

I also posted this in the BA forum but thinking with hindsight I probably shouldn’t have. Oneworld related.

I am have Oneworld sapphire status via Royal Jordanian Gold Sparrow.

I potentially have upcoming aer lingus regional flights operated by emerald airlines. Glasgow to Dublin return.

Just to check, does anyone know if I would I be entitled to use the BA lounge at Glasgow airport? I assume so but thought I’d check as Aer Lingus regional.

Also does anyone know what lounge I’d be able to access at Dublin if on an aer lingus regional flight? They all seem restricted to other airlines based on the Oneworld website, even the aer lingus lounge itself.

Also does anyone know if you can add your royal jordanian number to an aer lingus booking via the Royal Air Maroc website or an alternative way?

    Thanks

It’s complicated; mostly, no, you don’t get lounge access on Aer Lingus and Emerald because they’re not actually part of OW, but there are a few exceptions:

    Hi

Thanks for the reply with that information.

I guess the difference for my situation or maybe further complication is I don’t have status with BA which that article focuses on.

My Oneworld status is via royal jordanian. If only they’d make it a bit simpler haha

But I think as they aren’t a member I need to go with the assumption of no OW benefits.

    Thanks

OW Sapphire gets you what BA Silver does. There were new benefits introduced recently (there’s an article somewhere!) but you specifically asked about lounge access.

No lounge access based on OneWorld status when flying Aer Lingus. There are complicated sutuations for BA and AA status holders but moot for you.

No ability to credit an Aer Lingus flight to RJ because Aer Lingus is not in OneWorld
