Staying here in Feb for a short break. Booked Carmen room but hoping for Diamond upgrade to Carmen Sea view.
Any recommendations for this area please? Heard a tram trip to Benidorm (yes – old town!) could be good.

There’s a very good restaurant nearby. Altea is interesting. If you’ll need a taxi and have never used Cabify in Spain before, you could check if the avios promotion still works

The nearby Hotel Gran Sol may have a roof top bar for sunset views.

Walk along the paseo maritimo and look at the lovely deep blue sea.
There’s a great local restaurant behind the fish market, literally across the passageway from the sellers exit of the market. They take the fish straight over to the restaurant where it is cooked for you, so always lovely and fresh. Not sure if it has a name, or if still open, but would suggest around there is worth a try.
Altea (50mins), Calp (55mins), and Denia (1h) definitely worth a visit if you are happy to travel there.
Santa Barbara Castle also worth it for the views.
