Does the upgrade include moving from a ‘standard room’ to a club room with lounge access. As an example I am looking to book at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins in San Francisco for next month and would like to be able to use the lounge. If I book a 1 King Bed View room which seems to be the next grade down from a King Bed Club Intercontinental, will by ‘guaranteed upgrade’ mean that I get upgraded to the Club room?
Also, am I able to take a guest in to the club lounge with me?
Thanks! 🙂

Even if you are upgraded to a club room it would not come with club access.

Cheers. That’s the answer I was looking for.
