My flight from Dallas to Las for The World Series of Poker was cancelled last night after 3 hours of procrastinating as the pilot refused to fly the plane due to it being too hot. AA paid my taxi and hotel expenses last night and we`re due to fly 7.00am Dallas time this morning.
Is there any point in asking for compensation for the hotel reservation I had made in Vegas for last night or not? (I will not bother with tournament entry fees etc!). Thanks.
I’d say that’s a case for travel insurance. I don’t believe AA (or BA for that matter) will pay out as that is a consequential loss.
You’re lucky AA did that. They only do that when a cancellation is their fault!
