Amex airline offers?

Evening, I remember seeing an Etihad offer earlier this year, and currently have one saved for VS – but I was just thinking it’s a bit quiet on the Amex airline offers front?

For example, I haven’t seen AF/KL offers for a while, or even UA for that matter.

Did I miss these, or has nothing much come through?

They’re not that common. There is of course the permanent International Airline Programme for Platinum cardholders.

Thanks @Blair-Waldorf-Salad – I had a look at the Amex IAP this morning and I didn’t see much in the way of discounts – maybe I’m not doing it correctly or maybe I’m missing the trick with this.

For example, a Delta business class flight had a £40 discount – not sure it is worth booking via Amex and not the airline directly for that. As I said, maybe I’ve got this wrong here, and any advice is welcome!

IAP discounts vary a lot, more flexible tickets may have better discounts than lower cost non-refundable, it all depends what IAP has been allocated for sale by the airlines.

Always best to compare before booking, but it’s luck of the draw.

Fwiw at times I’ve had better (non-IAP) pricing from Amex on BA than I could find on ba.com
