Amex Gold October 2022 changes

Hi,

I have an Amex Gold that will renew mid March 2023 and I have spent just under £10k so far. Very likely my spend will reach £15k for 10,000 points according to current rules. The thing is, as I understand, as per new changes to the card, I will receive less than that, 7,500 points? Do we know how that transition will work?

There is contradictory discussion on this now. At least one person was told by Amex that it would honor 15k for £10k this card year even if you passed £10k AFTER 12th October.

It was always clear that anyone who hit £10k before 12th October would immediately get 15,000 points posting but it still isn’t fully clear what happens to others.
