Amex Gold offer for *existing* cardmembers?

Hi all,

Logged into Amex today on a laptop (usually use my phone), and was greeted with a surprising banner advertising Amex Gold to me with a points bonus (I think 35,000) with the wording “would usually be reserved for new cardmembers only”. It was time-bound – January, I think.

Unfortunately, I clicked off it by mistake when trying to see more, and now cannot recreate it! It doesn’t appear when I navigate to ‘Cards’ – there are plenty of advertised offers, but all for new cardmembers, which I wouldn’t qualify for (coming up to 18 months fallow). This one piqued my interest because, unlike anything I’ve seen from Amex before, it’s explicitly for *existing* rather than new cardmembers.

Anyone seen this too, and know how to get the screen back (without a tortuous exchange via live chat)?

which is “tailored to your cookie preferences” but then I havent had a personal card for 2+ years

That one says new cardmembers only for me. Hmm, don’t think I’ll risk resetting my fallow period without a screenshot, as this one feels bound to go wrong.

There were some Reddit posts about this, so seems more people have gotten this. Many people have claimed they’re eligible for this after asking Amex CS and that they’re definitely going to get the bonus. Someone else said Amex told them they’d not be eligible, so it’s all random in terms of what you hear from Amex.

Received the offer but did not complete the application. Now also couldnt find it. Contacted a CS but did not seem to have an idea. Will contact again another CS.

Could you please point to the reddit thread on this out of curiousity? Did a search on AMEXUK but did not show up
