Just wondering if anyone seen any cash back offer on amex marriott for hotel stay. Last week Rob mentioned that the offer has appeared on BAPP / platinum but will be coming on marriott card but yet seen anything so far but got a stay coming up soon. TIA.
No, it’s conspicuous by its absence. Wonder if a better offer will come in time
Some people already have it on their Bonvoy Amex cards from what I’ve read on here. So I think we can kiss our chances goodbye if we haven’t got one yet.
Haven’t seen any comments that anyone has it on their Marriott card yet?
I think they are waiting for double elite night promo to end. Don’t want us double dipping. 🙂
I’m double dipping with the offers on my gold anyway 🙂
Just miss out on the extra 4MR/£

Nothing interesting. I quoted someone saying Marriott doesn’t want Bonvoy card holders getting double nights and money off
The point is I have gold and nectar cards with the offer and will take advantage of that and the double nights just don’t get the extra Marriott points for using it at Marriott hotels.
That’s not optimised double dipping. Yes, I have it also on BAPP and Plat, but Marriott offers are usually better giving you £75 off £200 spend or £100 off £250 spend which is better than spend £400 get £100 off.
Usually it’s 33-40% but not going to turn down 20%
Whilst getting a retention bonus yesterday, I noted that the absence of the Marriott cashback offer on my Plat or Gold had really stuck in my craw. No dice in terms of having it manually added but the agent said they’d pass on my feedback that these hotel offers are now a relied-upon benefit of keeping Plat

A bit too late for me for this year, but might work for prepaid stays next year.
@TGLoyalty
Thanks for the heads up, saved on our 2 cards plus 2 subs. Now to plan a nice summer Bournemouth stay. It’s a pretty decent offer.
Which card is that on? I only have BAPP and supp atm and no sign!

Thread title says ‘Marriott Amex’ 🙂
It does, but people have also mentioned BAPP and Platinum here, so I was just checking!

This is specifically for the Bonvoy card, usually every Bonvoy card holder gets it.
The other cards may have the spend £400 get £100 depending on if they’re targetted.
Though would’ve preferred something like spend £400 get £150 back as will burn through my card plus supps this weekend alone.
I’ve got £100 off £400 on 2 cards and £75 off £200 on 2 cards. Does anyone have experience regarding splitting payment across cards. I’ve got a rather expensive stay at W Edinburgh coming up and would make the most use of this by splitting across cards.

I’ve done this at RC Abama and they didn’t object.

Did it in Holland last year, had it across 4 cards, just went down to reception every day and paid the requisite sum off the bill to trigger the cashback for each particular card.
All cleared no problem.
* My thinking was that 4 payments at practically the same time, on the same day, at the same hotel, might just look a little bit suspicious 🙂
No hotel in the world will object to split payment. Sometimes they’ll ask for ID if they don’t already hold it. They just want to be paid. 🙂
Never had an issue splitting but yeah for multiple cards ie more than 2/3 I just normally sort it out as I pass each day.
I just tell them I have offers from Amex and never had any issues splitting payments at any chain.

Yeah, I also see it on my Bonvoy Amex today for the first time.
