I got the £400 travel credit as part of the sign up bonus for the Platinum card last year. I used it for a FHR booking and unfortunately plans have changed so want to cancel the booking. Has anyone had any experience with the £400 credit being refunded? Does it just go back into the Amex Travel account as a voucher again?
I had a similar circumstances last year (with my Platinum Business £200 travel credit).
I cancelled the (fully refundable) hotel booking and got a full refund of the amount paid. The Amex £200 credit I had received was not reversed.
I have no idea if that was just lucky and a one off, or if it is standard policy for the cancellations.
