Forums Payment cards American Express Amex Platinum – access to Chase Sapphire lounges?

Can an Amex Platinum cardholder access Chase Sapphire lounges, such as the one in HK? The Chase Sapphire Lounges by The Club are part of the Priority Pass network on their website, but don’t show up in the Amex Global Lounge Collection, and there are other examples where Amex cardholders have a restricted PP membership (e.g. most airport restaurant credits in PP are not available to Amex PP cardholders, with the glorious exception of LGW in the UK). And Chase is obviously a competitor to Amex so probably not too happy opening up their lounges to comp. Has anyone ever managed to get into a Chase Sapphire lounge based on an Amex-based Priority Pass membership?

I think there’s been limited travel to HKG by HfP forum users and Chase lounges are a bit outré for a UK site. You may be better asking on Flyertalk.

My wife was in Hong Kong two weeks ago and went to both the Centurion lounge with 2 guests with the the Plat card and went to the Chase lounge with 1 guest on the Priority pass. The list on the PP app should be accurate.

Excellent – many thanks, HfP forum has done it again. I’m going to assume that your wife used the Amex-based Priority Pass. There’s quite a few Chase Sapphire lounges opening this year, so nice to have them covered by the Amex Plat as they’re supposedly close to Centurion lounge standard.
