Forums Frequent flyer programs British Airways Executive Club Amex Platinum card points

Hi just got my amex platinum card and hope to earn the 60,000 bonus points to convert to avios. However, I can’t see anything relating to this on the literature or on my account that mentions this. I know you have to spend £6000 before you earn them.
Can anyone tell me where to look. As you know on BA amex it tells you how much you still need to spend before you get your companion voucher.

It no longer tells you anywhere in the app or online, unfortunately. You need to call/chat with support to get an update on where you are in relation to the bonus spend. I typically wait a couple of weeks after card opening and ring them just to confirm that the bonus is tracking against my account and then go off statement balance (but remember the card fee doesn’t count).

Bizarre that they removed the ability to track spending against SUB in the app – that’s something that even Barclaycard manages.

Cybernauts advice is worth following….i hit 6000 spend but it wasn’t tracking , needed few calls and live chats to get them to correct their mistake.

The Barclaycard tracker is very good.

    Virgin is a lost cause.

Hi finally got my 60,000 points and am now going to cancel my card. I assume that this also cancels my Priority Pass as well.

Yes, it will immediately. Your hotel statuses however will continue so worth making sure you have activated all these if you haven’t already. Similarly, make sure you’ve used all your other benefits (e.g. dining credit, Harvey Nics etc.)
