Amex is certainly very late to the BNPL game which would also appear to be quite a drift from their supposed core market.

BNPL looks like an accident waiting to happen, over 10m users in the UK, bad debts rising and questions over proper affordability checks.

BNPL also isn’t the big Amex news we are awaiting which is expected to be negative based on US changes and the apparent necessity of keeping the pro-rata trap door open beyond 2 October.
