Apologies if this has been covered already but I couldn’t see anything in the older threads.
When the forums were awash at the end of June with news of the special offer for new Platinum account applications, I jumped straight in and was accepted on 3rd July.
I achieved my £6K target spend pretty quickly but have only just gone looking for my £400 travel credit in my account.
No sign of it so I asked Amex only to be told that the aplication window OPENED on 3rd July.
I cannot recall seeing this mentioned in the email bulletins when the offere was originaly announced and wonder if anyone else fell victim to this?

I’ve kept this on the down-low but…
I applied early/mid June with a referral link which gave me 60k points – which was valid till end of June. Support did tell me I would be ok with the referral as i’d applied before the deadline.
But it took like a month for the application to be accepted and by the time it was accepted, the £400 travel credit option came out too.
I was approved around 5th July, made my £10k purchase, and had 60k points + a £400 travel voucher

Ah, that’s interesting becuase I also used the link so it wouldn’t have occurred to me that there was an opening date since my application was readily accepted.
Have you tried looking for the £400 travel credit under My Travel benefits when you log into your account on a desktop browser?

Also is there a particular length of time I should wait between getting the BA Orium Olus card and applying for the Platinum?
