Amex to Marriott

The AMEX points are in my husbands account, the Marriott account is in my name. If we go for the special offer do the points have to be transferred into an account in my husbands name, or is it a matter of just providing an account number to AMEX, does anyone know?

It has to be transferred to your husband’s Marriot account. Marriott allows free transfers between its own members, so once the points are in the Marriott system, you can transfer between your two accounts.

Yes, 100k per year in maximum 6 transactions per year and 2 per month.

You might be able to get away with putting your Marriott number in on the Amex form, if you feel lucky! (It worked for me in the past, but not tried for a while)

Doesn’t work for me. Same surname but different forename.
