Forums Other Destination advice Amsterdam Schiphol – lounge advice

Apologies as this will have been asked before, but I am flying from the airport next week and was wondering what the best course of action is in regards to Lounge options.

I have both Priority pass through AMEX Platinum and some Dragon Pass credits from Barclays. I note you can pre book the lounge on dragonpass but other than that it appears to be the same aspire lounge entry available on both products, I also note that it appears you can use dragonpass credits for £15 credit towards quite a few restaurants options in the terminal.

I rarely have use for Dragonpass credits due to using the Platinium and priority pass most of the time I need a lounge, but I was wondering if it is worth using the dragon pass credits to pre book the lounge (if it tends to get too busy) or perhaps better still redeeming them for some food at a Restaurant in the terminal then using the Priority pass to enter the lounge afterwards (though I’m not sure if this is possible?)

Any insight or advice would be appreciated, as always.

    Thanks again

    The AMS Aspire lounge:
    – gets very busy so expect queues for cardholders
    – has crap food, not worth queueing for

The Aspire lounge at AMS is currently closed – for refurbishment (which has been going on for some months now).
BA will direct you to Cafe Flor – where free food/drinks are available.
It’s over-crowded and has very limited seating. Not a pleasant experience in any way.
When I was there last week, a number of people were being turned away due to capacity restrictions.
    Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, I’ll probably just look at using the dragonpass passes to get some restaurant credits then if the lounge isn’t open/ worth the bother
