any consequences cancelling a BA Premium Amex card

I upgraded to the BA Premium card over the weekend to trigger a 2 4 1 companion voucher which has now landed in my account.

Would there be any consequences if I phone up today and cancel my Amex card.

I would then be left with just a supplementary card under my wifes account which I think allows mw to utilise the voucher at some point in the next 2 years

Consequences in what sense? Would your voucher be voided, history suggests no, but potentially possible under t&c’s. Would Amex note a sudden upgrade/downgrade and block you in future, who knows?
