I have booked Tokyo to London on JAL, travelling Premium Economy on a 777 for a (long) daytime flight.
Any experience, advice, tips gratefully appreciated. Thanks
Interested in this one too as food is the same as economy so the only real benefits are:
– 2-4-2 instead of 3-3-3 on the 777
– PE seat with person in front of you not being able to recline
– access to lounge (BA in T3 and JAL’s in HND/NRT) unless you upgrade to PE at the airport
– Better headphones, same bad entertainment system
– 100 TPs each way which can make a difference!
Food is the same as in economy. You do have access to instant noodles if you want a snack mid flight.
Given how good economy is with JAL, I am also interested in people having tried both products and able to compare the comfort of the PE seat vs Y.
PS: the new A350 will have a much funkier PE seat that looks really cool. Don’t think any is flying to London yet. I would stick to the old PE for answers here given it is what people most likely will experience.
