Anyone stayed at a Marriott Autograph hotel recently and do you get the same benefits ie upgrades etc as normal Marriott??
Yes – you get all the benefits you should for your status. Upgrades vary, depending on where you are in the world and from hotel to hotel.
If you’re Platinum or above you get breakfast in lieu of lounge access if there is no lounge, so can then take points as your welcome gift as well.
Design Hotels is the one you need to watch out for; benefits don’t all carry across. Autographs are a bit of a curate’s egg in New York. Some are characterful and great locations but the rooms tend to be tiny.
Hi thanks both, we will be staying in Bucharest the Marmorosch first time at this property so looking forward to it. The JW was too far out of town for our needs.
The Autograph I stayed in over Xmas in CR was superb, including appropriate benefits recognition. This was in spite of the fact that there was only one, tiny, sign acknowledging membership of Bonvoy and not a trace of Marriott branding anywhere. I can imagine elsewhere such independently managed hotels might not offer much for elite members.
