Is BA’s IT throwing a wobbly again?
I have a 2 4 1 companion voucher
Cash price of £1810 for CW Dub – Mia via LHR 8 – 21 Mar 2025 for one person
For the same booking using Avios they want 103,000 + £1834 – one person
I thought using Dublin was supposed to save you money!!
Pricing up this way as very hard to find Aer Lingus availabilty
Any thoughts
The cash element of the redemption price seems completely incorrect. Should be way lower
Have you clicked through to the next screen?
Have you checked whether any of the legs are on different airlines which might skew the surcharges?
If you’re mixing F and CW it used to mess up the surcharges, it was supposed to have been resolved but, BA IT is unpredictable, as we know.
I also saved a little bit of cash & avios by selecting economy on the DUB-LHR sector on our upcoming trip to MEX, don’t forget it’s not free like U.K. connections are.
Dub – LHR is shown as Aer Lingus then BA across the pond. The DUb LHR on its own is £20,00 ok doesn’t include suitcase
It allowed me to use my 2 4 1 voucher in the dummy booking (Hadn’t realised at first & thought that’s not a bad price)
Try using the “stopover” function and see what happens if you select BA rather than EI. This is also how you would select different cabins.
Since LHR-MIA would be an RFS, I’m very confused as to why the Op (Unless Ireland based) is starting in Dublin.
I’m getting for a straight London return using a 241 an RFS of 90,000 Avios + £ 475.00
