Maximise your Avios, air miles and hotel points

    Not sure if this is the right place to post this.

    I booked a hotel stay via Avios Hotels (15 Avios per £1 spent). We completed the stay on the 19th April 2022. However the points have still not posted on my BAEC account. I have posted out a claims form about 6 weeks ago, not heard anything yet.

    Just wondering if anyone has had experience with Avios Hotels or any pointers to chase?


    What does it say in the Ts and Cs? Sometimes it can be 90 days before the avios post.


    The site states – Avios will be credited to the account within 21 days of completing stay.


    Used them last November and pretty sure I had the Avios by Christmas. Probably within the 21 days.


    I have a similar issue, two stays. First completed in late April, the second in early May. Did as you raised a ticket attaching the booking confirmations. This was about 3 weeks ago. Heard nothing. I’d say waiting 6 weeks should be more than sufficient for the points to post. Unsure about how to escalate this though.


    Had 2 bookings in the last 4 weeks
    Checked out 22/5 with points awarded on the 27/5 and
    Checked out 18/6 with points awarded on the 24/6

    There are no brownie points for letting them make you wait.

    For all these offers these days, you should chase on the day they are due to you, at the latest.

    if you do not receive what you are supposed to on time, then as if 1 week after due date, or right away while you’re chasing it if they quote you some new extended period, tell them for each week ypu have to wait you want extra. You are the client.
