Has anyone else had issues with their card having stopped tracking Avios? My card has not had any Avios tracked since March 24th, even though I’ve made plenty purchases since then with payments going through just fine. Only points up till that date was transferred over to my BA account, so it doesn’t seem to be a display nor account linkage issue. Barclays’ customer support, as expected, has no idea why…
My Avios have been accumulating fine (even after the initial transfer to my BA account).
I would suggest you check the following in the Barclays App:
– Barclays App > Barclaycard Avios Plus > View Your Avios > View Your ActivityCheck your BA account number is still present at the top.
There’ll also be small bit near the top “Your Total Avios Balance” with a last updated time and date I.e. “Correct at [time] on [date]”.
– Check this currentYou should also have a section underneath: “Barclaycard Avios” (if you have a Barclays Premier account, you should have “Avios Rewards” too).
– Check the listed Avios in this section match your spendIt may be worth re-installing the Barclays app and/or installing the Barclaycard app (as to compare the Avios Sections to determine if it’s an app specific issue or account related issue). You’ll want to have a PIN Sentry reader at hand. From what I can tell, the Barclaycard app seems to be a mirror version of the Barclays app (although I haven’t really looked into it… I simply installed it to see if I could get Barclaycard spend alerts – which you can’t).

Thanks! I am using the Barclays app at the moment.
– The “View Your Activity” shows Avios activity only up till the 24th of March, even though I’ve made purchases up till today.
– BA membership number is showing, and I received all the points that tracked till the 24th of March in my BA account.
– Total Avios Balance is showing the correct amount and matches the BA app
– Last updated date currently shows 9th of April for me – not sure if anyone else has got a more recent date than that?Just downloaded the Barclaycard app and it’s show the same Avios details/info as the Barclays app, so looks like it’s an account issue.

According to your app, it sounds like your account is still linked to your BA account. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean this is the case. We can attempt to further confirm this: has your Total Avios balance changed AFTER 24/3? For example, from BA shop spend or from any BA AmEx card? If so, and if this current/updated balance is reflected within your Barclays app, it would appear the link to your BA account is fine (atleast on the surface).
In regards to “Correct at [time] on [date]”, this has generally been the current date and time I check it. I say “generally” because there was a time when my balance hasn’t updated for a good month or two (prior to the Avios Barclaycard’s being released). For me, linking my Barclaycard Avios Plus seemed to ‘refresh’ the link and has been updating fine since.
If you’ve had a Barclays Premier current account for a while, rather than contacting general support, I would suggest you contact your personal premier banker who may be faster at getting more desirable results. However, I’m not sure how much a personal banker from Barclays can help with a Barclaycard product – but they should atleast be able to contact the relevant staff on your behalf.
As Barclays (or Barclaycard) staff should have more visibility, I would also suggest you inquire whether they can see any Avios figures from your more recent purchases on their end.

Yup, I’ve had multiple Avios credits added to my BA account after 24th of March. Yes as well, Barclays app is showing my current BA balance as seen in my BA account.
Unfortunately when I tried reaching out to Barclays/Barclaycard, most of them either: don’t seem to be aware of how the Avios card works/redirects me to the BA executive club hotline/transfers me to another Barclaycard support person, who also has no idea why the Avios isn’t being credited. Hence I’ve been stuck in a circle of incompetency and limbo.
I have the exact same problem and strangely the tracking stopped on the exact same date.
My Avios activity was tracking fine until 24th March but nothing at all after that date even though I have spent over £3K on the card since that date. I am waiting for my latest statement to be released, hoping that this is a glitch in the app and that its all working in the background. Although that’s maybe wishful thinking given all the issues with this card. And still no sign of the extra 5K Avios that were promised.I can confirm that my BA Avios balance is tracking correctly through the app and has updated since the 24th as points have been added from other sources, i.e. BA AMEX. So the app is synced to my BA account, its just stopped tracking Avios for spend on my Barclaycard Avios Plus card.

Reassuring to hear that it’s not just me experiencing this issue 👍🏻 I’ve escalated mine as a complaint, so will wait and see what they come back with. Definitely won’t be putting any more spend after triggering the signup bonus till they sort this out!
UPDATE: Spent an hour on the phone with Barclaycard today. The gentleman checked my account and I walked him through the issue, after which he confirmed that he could see that my overall spend since March 24th (35+ transactions) wasn’t being reflected in my Avios tracking. However, at that point he had no information that could help. He spoke to his supervisor, tried other departments, but in the end was unable to help. He ended up logging a call with their IT dept for feedback on the issue, and if they don’t respond then he will escalate into a complaint.
I don’t have any confidence that the £3K+ that I have spent on the card since 24th March will be rewarded with the 4500+ Avios points. I really hope I’m wrong and its just an issue with the app, and in the background the points are actually tracking. I guess I’ll find out in just over a week when the points monthly points earned are supposed to transfer over to BA.

I’ve stopped all spending on the card until this is resolved.I don’t see why they won’t eventually credit you the SUB if you’ve met the spend required – it’ll just be a matter of how quickly they solve this and post the Avios to your account.
Yeah, I wouldn’t hold out much hope that you’ll get the correct amount of Avios transferred over. My Avios was transferred to my BA account a few weeks ago, and it was only the total Avios tracked till March 24 that got sent.
@h1jfg got some positive news on my side. When I checked my account today, it looks like all the missing Avios since March 24 up until April 26 is now showing as pending. According to the Avios activity log, they were all added today (April 29). The bonus counter is also reflected accordingly, so it looks like someone has/is fixing the issue off the back of my complaint.

@Youllnever Same happened for me. App has now updated with correct amount of pending Avios ready for transfer to BA this week. So it may be an issue with “in-month” tracking, but happily it sorts itself out at the end of the month. Is anyone else still experiencing issues with Avios being tracked in a timely manner? My transaction on July 27 only just showed up in my pending Avios activity page as tracked on September 7. My other transaction on August 7 is still missing…
Mine hasn’t updated since 27th April, though to be honest I stopped caring about it updating after a few weeks and a phone call to Barclays that did absolutely nothing
Checking on BAEC, I do still get the correct amount of Avios each month from the card, but I’m also on extremely low spend on the card now

Ah that sounds like a slightly different issue to mine – the points don’t even end up in my BAEC at all at the end of month, and only appears when it shows up on Barclays’ end (pending or otherwise).
