Avios redemption flight cancellation fee

It appears the Euro Traveller Avios Redemption Flights Cancellation fee is now being charged at the (correct) £35 instead of £1 that was being charged for a while now? On the final screen of the cancellation page it now says that the refund amount will subtract the £35 cancellation fee but the same page showed the £1 listed just a few weeks ago.

Separately, some of my other booked flights seems to trigger the manual cancellation request form page saying the exact refund fee will be calculated later…

I just checked a booking I made as 2x one ways (as I was hoping to cancel one leg and re-book if my preferred flight time became available), and I am also getting quoted the £35pp cancellation fees.

I had used the lowest avios/highest cash options, as these were best value.

Might have to start using the highest avios/lowest cash option in future.
