Hello
Advise please
Booked my first reward redemption through BA using avios travelling business class / first on QR on the following route . Me and my wife travelling
LGW-DOH-HKG , business and then First DOH-HKG in May
Flights look very busy . my friends who have travelled on redemptions on BA have been downgraded in the past when flights are busy
How likely are QR to bump pax or downgrade pax travelling on avios tickets booked through BA . If it happens will QR rebook back in business / first or will they palm me off to BA
Anyone had any experiences with downgrades on QR on BA avios tickets
Any feedback would be grateful
I don’t see how anyone can answer your ‘how likely’ question.
We recently flew LHR-DOH-HAN on reward flights in business without any issue.
Easy enough to answer that question – it might happen or it might not 🙂
It has been widely discussed that in the event of overbooking the passengers who have paid the least tend to be towards the top of the ‘hitlist’, but it’s impossible to predict whether or not that may happen so what difference does it make. It would be a bit extreme to consider changing travel plans just because a flight is looking busy. I don’t imagine the source of the booking has any relevance.
